Amankora

Scattered across the valleys of Bhutan, five separate lodges each offer a singular perspective on the last kingdom of the Himalayas. Whether in a pine forest, a subtropical estate, a glacial mountain landscape or a spiritual retreat, they are united by the same serene harmony. Traditional craftsmanship has shaped the lodges, whose façades blend fluidly with their specific surroundings: straight, minimalist lines, the use of pine wood, rammed-earth walls and mineral flooring. At their heart, a cast-iron stove radiates its warmth. The neutral tones of the walls showcase the outdoor surroundings, enjoyed through large windows overlooking the forests or rice paddies. The tone for the stay is shaped by the guests themselves, from hikes to spiritual exploration. Meanwhile, the menu reveals a wealth of flavours, rooted in the surrounding nature, all prepared with care and generosity.
