In the heart of Núi Chúa National Park, overlooking Vinh Hy Bay, this retreat on the Vietnamese coast is surrounded by the unspoilt wilderness of a UNESCO-protected biosphere reserve, turquoise waters, rocky hills and lush hillsides. Seen from the air, its curved roof and neutral colour scheme seem to blend into the nearby granite and vegetation. Architect Jean-Michel Gathy has designed 44 guest rooms in perfect harmony with their surroundings. They showcase local craftsmanship in the dark wood, stone, rattan and textiles, whilst making the most of high ceilings and large picture windows to allow the outdoor views and natural light to take centre stage. The restaurant spotlights a cuisine in which the freshness of the produce and the artful use of spices create a certain harmony.
