Bishop's Lodge
Bishop’s Lodge feels like Santa Fe at its most elemental. Set beneath the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the lodge spreads through pine forest and red earth, its adobe forms, weathered timber and kiva fireplaces recalling the architecture of the Southwest. Navajo textiles and mountain-inspired colours carry the landscape indoors, while the suites open onto terraces overlooking the Tesuque Valley, which is particularly beautiful as the sun begins to set. Days are made for being outside: riding through the hills, fly-fishing in northern New Mexico's rivers, or simply finding a seat around the fire as evening falls. At SkyFire, the cooking stays close to New Mexico, with chilli at its heart. Later, a Holy Margarita is well-suited to the last light of the day.
