Four Seasons Resort Hualalai

Set amidst pristine sands, black lava rock, and vibrant vegetation, the residence is made up of scattered structures designed to blend harmoniously into the landscape. Communal areas seem to breathe in rhythm with nature, shaped by local materials, coloured by shifting light, and decorated with local craftsmanship. This symbiotic approach extends to the spa, where treatments incorporate essences drawn from the surrounding environment. Lining the coast, the suites are grouped into five enclaves, looking out over either the ocean or the gardens, with their own private plunge pools. Interspersed with lagoons, they complement the resort’s intimate atmosphere, opening up their spaces to allow the landscape to dress them in local fabrics and woodwork. Each location has its own character, whether the focus is on a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course or exploring the underwater world. The restaurants share this same spirit, drawing inspiration from Japanese, continental, and island culinary traditions.
