Nestled on the shores of Lake Wakatipu and bordered by pines, the property, facing the mountain range known as the Remarkables, is like a distillation of a land shaped by the wild. In the manner of an alpine haven, the residence is fashioned from local materials – stone and timber. The use of Corten steel plays a central role in the identity of the place: its patina evolves organically over the years, taking on hues that tend towards ochre and orange, mirroring the earth of its surroundings. The sixteen keys unfold a serene score: tones and furnishings play clear notes, caressed by brighter bursts, keeping tempo with the natural light. A jetty leads straight to the invigorating waters, populated by trout, eels and salmon. The residence's setting offers a singular vantage point on the celestial vault. The restaurant's menu follows the movements of the stars and the course of the seasons, offering dishes of shifting colours.
