We had a wonderful time and definitely the best hotel we have stayed in. The weather was incredible as is the surrounding area but the hotel equally stunning. The staff were very warm and friendly, the rooms were all beautiful, ours was a Poetry room which was spacious & luxurious. Our friends were in one of the suits which was also lovely but they preferred ours! Breakfast was perfect with lovely choices, we ate in both the Stags head and the main restaurant and enjoyed them equally. We were there for our wedding anniversary and were greeted with a bottle of champagne in our bedroom, thank you Grand luxury hotels for organising it! The absolute star of the show however is the Art in the hotel, a must is doing the Art tour that they offer as it is fascinating and apart from helping you appreciate the stories behind the Picasso & Lycian Freud there is such an interesting collection of art from the commissioned chandelier, ceiling & walls in the dining room.

A wonderfully different style of hotel in a fabulous location in a beautiful part of the world. Great variety of dining options and the public spaces were varied and comfortable. The whiskey bar was simply brilliant. But most of all, the service ethic of all the staff was absolutely exemplary, in particular Lee in The Flying Stag, who was cheerful, professional, and informative throughout.
