From the Gritti terrace, the Grand Canal comes right to your table with San Giorgio, La Salute and the vaporetti sliding past the conversations. This 1475 Gothic palace keeps the memory of the comings and goings of writers and collectors in its suites. On the plate, the lagoon islands and herbs inspire tagliatelle with langoustines and Badoere asparagus. At the Epicurean School, a cooking class and a Bellini come before a master forcolaio's workshop: under the chisel, the rowlock becomes a wood sculpture. At the spa, Orsoni gold mosaics, Murano glass and marble sift the light into a cocoon-like glow.
