The Langham Boston

In the heart of the Financial District, the former Federal Reserve Bank, now home to this Boston residence, is the place to go to enjoy a lively drink or pause after a long walk through the city. Everything here evokes the building's past: the original 1922 brass seal still takes pride of place at the entrance, and the soaring spaces of Grana, the Italian restaurant set in the institution's former grand hall, retain their original grandeur while portraits of great statesmen like Lincoln still hang on the walls, commissioned back when the building was a bank. Upstairs, the suites offer a more residential feel, blending a serene East Coast colour palette with light woods inspired by New England. Adding a final touch of banking-themed flair, The Fed, the aptly named bar that feels more like an insider’s haunt than an impersonal lounge, perfectly captures the spirit of the place.
