Bogota hotels collection

Rogelio Salmona built the Torres del Parque in stepped red brick, at the foot of the eastern hills, in the very material Bogotá is made of. Nearby, La Candelaria lines up its colonial houses of rammed earth beneath tiled roofs, and a piece of cheese is still dropped into hot chocolate there when the cold comes down from the mountain. On Sundays, pilgrims climb the path to the sanctuary of Monserrate on foot. To the south, the district still takes in the Sumapaz páramo, where the frailejones, their leaves covered in silvery down, grow so slowly that one of a man's height has seen a century go by.
