Bill & Coo Mykonos
Megali Ammos, Greece
Megali Ammos begins where the road out of Chora stops being a street. No parasols: the wind would carry them off, and the beach stays bare from end to end. The sand is coarse, edged with slabs of flat rock. Opposite lie Syros and Tinos, between which the sun goes down in summer. Seaweed carpets the rocks along the water's edge, where one wades in with measured steps.
