Mykonos hotels collection

The wind has the first word on Mykonos: the meltemi blows through the summer and keeps the light clean. Chora lines up its white cubes and blue shutters along lanes designed to lose pirates, which still works. The windmills face the sea; the balconies of Little Venice all but touch the water. Ano Mera, inland, keeps its monastery and its calm. A short boat ride away, Delos, which the ancients held to be the centre of the Cyclades, is now a field of marble and lizards. The island knows how to make noise; it also knows how to fall silent, as soon as one moves away from the harbour.
