Herceg Novi hotels collection

It rains on the Orjen, above Herceg Novi, as it rains almost nowhere else in Europe, and the limestone drinks it all. Below, the town is climbed: from the clock tower to the Španjola fortress, the lanes are stairways, lined with mimosa that flowers in February. The Ottomans built Kanli Kula at the top of the old town; performances are now given in the open air within its walls. Further along the bay, the Savina monastery keeps, among the pines, a church built of pale stone brought over from Korčula.
