Opening in southwest Switzerland in December 1913, Gstaad Palace is the pride of the Scherz family, who have been its custodian for three generations.

As one of the few family-owned hotels in Switzerland, Gstaad Palace is a place where every guest is made to feel like extended members of the family. The hotel is also home to just 90 rooms, and together with the chalet-like decor of checkered drapes and flowery curtains, the atmosphere is one that feels intimate and exclusive. The same is true of the hotel's restaurants like La Fromagerie, with a Champagne truffle fondue, and the terrace of the Lobby Bar. Outside, gorgeous views of the Swiss Alps await at every angle, making for an unforgettable Alpine escape.

Lartisien is a collection of 450 exceptional hotels across the globe, but how do we choose these addresses that we recommend? We do it through an in-depth analysis of every property, and demanding quality controls and evaluations by our founders themselves, Ivan and Rouslan Lartisien, with nothing but excellence in mind. The Collection is also reviewed every year and only the hotels that our members systematically rate ‘Remarkable' are retained.

A Lartisien client since April 2017, ultimate

It’s not the first time I come to this hotel, and for sure I will come back again, because it’s an amazing, cozy place with super friendly staff. The only thing that disappointed me was a long checkout because of the lady who was doing all extremely slowly. I recommend to improve professionalism of reception staff. The rest was perfect!

It was splendid. I like it a lot. Extraordinary and very comfortable. A little thing: why does it offer a sparkling water from abroad as there is such a large amount of Swiss sparkling water available.
