The Alpina Gstaad
High above Gstaad, The Alpina has been built using natural materials, in keeping with the architectural heritage of the Swiss region. Days are spent exploring the valley’s traditional trades; you can take in the vats of an alpine cheese dairy, a beekeeper’s hives, or ride on an E-Vespa. In the evening, the Stübli serves traditional Swiss fare, whilst Tsutomu Kugota cooks at the Japanese counter of Megu, with the chalets visible through the windows. Francesco De Bartolomeis, a native of Abruzzo, took over as head chef in August 2026. At the Six Senses Spa, the indoor and outdoor pools face the mountain peaks, near the Himalayan salt cave.
