Palm trees rise from the central pool, around which low-slung buildings are arranged. Despite its contemporary lines, the architecture feels firmly rooted in Dubai: white walls that deflect the heat, exposed timber beams that recall the city's traditional souk, and a layout that encourages life to spill naturally between inside and out. The suites follow the same cool, understated palette, as pale colours and rich woods are accented with touches of blue, while some introduce shoji-style screens, allowing the rooms to shift between open and more private. Kayto brings Japanese cooking to the gardens, with dishes that make choosing between the Hokkaido Wagyu & Lobster Roll with kizami wasabi, and the Yellowtail & Jalapeño, a particularly difficult decision. Afterwards, the evening can go one of two ways: cocktails at Blind Tiger beside the turtle pond, or a walk along two kilometres of private beach, with the Burj Al Arab rising across the water.
