Rosewood São Paulo

Rising above the Bela Vista district, this Jean Nouvel-designed tower draws on nature, a fundamental element of its host city. On the terraces, lush, jungle-like vegetation breathes life into the glass and steel structures, while nearby the gardens of this former maternity hospital create a dramatic entrance. Inside, Philippe Starck has refined the traditional design vocabulary, infusing tropical style with bold artistic flair, featuring works by Arne Quinze and Vik Muniz, and historic-style suites in the original building contrast with the modernist suites in the tower. Nature remains a focal point at Taraz, which blends South American gastronomy with Japanese touches, framed by centuries-old olive trees. Finally, nature surrounds the Emerald Pool, styled like a mangrove lagoon, to define the horizon viewed from the rooftop pool.
