In Ornos Bay, Santa Marina occupies a peninsula that has retained its mill, its dovecote and the white chapel of Agia Marina, from which the resort takes its name. These three buildings link the estate to the rural Mykonos of the pre-marina era. At mealtimes, Elais returns to the roots of Greek cuisine with a menu featuring local wines, and the executive chef prepares some dinners by the water’s edge. Further up, the infinity pool at the Oasis is reserved for adults. In the morning, a traditional kaiki – a wooden coastal vessel from the Cyclades – sets sail from the beach towards the neighbouring coves and harbours.
