The Dorchester

Across Park Lane, The Promenade at The Dorchester absorbs the flow of traffic. At The Grill, relaunched by Martyn Nail alongside Jacob Keen-Downs, the trolley makes a comeback for tartare, beef Wellington and Norwegian omelette, all finished off at the table. Alain Ducasse has entrusted his three-Michelin-starred restaurant to Jean-Philippe Blondet, while Philip Hammond, the hotel’s in-house florist, teaches guests how to arrange a bouquet. China Tang serves dim sum in an Art Deco dining room, whilst the Wine Vault reserves its thousand bottles and the sommelier’s advice for small groups seated in the kitchens.
