Just as the Taj Mahal was conceived out of love, this residence, 600 metres from the legendary mausoleum, was born of the same principles. Guests enter through a landscaped garden that would put Le Nôtre to shame, with rose-lined staircases, antique-style walls punctuated by fragrant jasmine, and pools laid out like geometric water features. Inside, a flair for the spectacular continues along marble colonnades and up an imposing double staircase. The suites offer a quieter atmosphere, featuring light-coloured drapery, period details, and thick, richly patterned carpets. At the table, the menu showcases remarkable Mughlai and tandoori influences.
