When it first opened, the original St. Regis was the tallest hotel in New York. Today, while it has since been surpassed in height, it remains unrivalled in terms of prestige and heritage. Beyond the French marble, bronze accents, and Circassian walnut suite doors, a distinct spirit permeates every floor. Each suite boasts a special identity, like the Bentley-inspired décor of the eponymous suite, or the mountain grey palette of the Dior Suite, all while sharing an innate flair for dramatic spatial design. Downstairs, the King Cole Bar stands as a destination in its own right, thanks to both its history and its striking visual appeal. It is said that the Bloody Mary - known here as the Red Snapper - was invented right here, amidst the murals by Maxfield Parrish.
