Berlin hotels collection

A double row of cobbles runs flush with the ground across Berlin, keeping the line of the Wall from one district to the next. On Museum Island, the Spree divides into two arms around neoclassical colonnades; at the Kulturforum, Mies van der Rohe set the black steel roof of the Neue Nationalgalerie on a handful of columns, above a hall made entirely of glass. In Prenzlauer Berg, buildings of brick and render string their courtyards one behind another, each quieter than the last. On Sundays, kites rise over the runways of Tempelhof, where the planes of the airlift once landed.
