Deia hotels collection

Archduke Ludwig Salvator bought up the Deià coast estate by estate so that no one would fell its olive trees or holm oaks again. At Son Marroig he had a small temple of Carrara marble put up facing Sa Foradada, a spur of rock pierced right through. The village steps its ochre stone houses with green shutters up the foot of the Teix, as far as the church that crowns it. A stream runs down to Cala Deià, a pebble cove where boats rest in stone shelters. In the evening, the sun goes down into the sea beyond the pierced rock.
