Moyo Island hotels collection

The waterfall at Mata Jitu, in the heart of Moyo, steps down from pool to pool over limestone ledges, in water of a milky green. The island, off the coast of Sumbawa, has long been protected: dry forest alternates with savannah, where deer graze and macaques keep watch along the tracks. At Labuhan Aji, the timber houses stand on stilts; a few metres from the sand, the reef drops sheer into the blue. Across Saleh Bay, Tambora raises its truncated summit, a silhouette the dawn draws before anything else.
