Lisciano Niccone hotels collection

From the Gosparini pass, the road drops into the Niccone valley, between slopes of oak and olive. Behind, Lake Trasimeno still glints between two ridges; ahead, the stream runs on towards the Tiber. The village holds the slopes of Monte Castiglione below the ruins of its castle, and other towers answer one another from hill to hill. The farmhouses are of stone, capped with tile. Tuscany begins on the far bank; nobody told the oaks.
