Hotel Castello di Reschio
Castello di Reschio stands in over 1,500 hectares of land between Tuscany and Umbria, where olive trees and cypresses grow side by side. This 10th-century castle, reimagined by its owners – Count Benedikt Bolza, a trained architect, and his wife, the artist Donna Nencia Corsini – feels like a rural Arcadia. Original features like the beams, vaulted ceilings and fireplaces have been preserved to showcase antique artworks or furniture crafted by the owner himself. It is the same commitment to continuity across the ages that has led to the preservation of an olive press in the middle of one of the suites. In the hands of the chefs, produce from the farm finds its way onto the menus of the two restaurants, while an underground spa completes the comprehensive wellness offering, featuring swimming pools, a sauna and a steam room. Horse-riding enthusiasts can try their hand at dressage in the adjoining stables.
