Sir Paul Smith designed a suite here, a Bentley is available to take you straight to the tailors of Mayfair, and a bar pays tribute to the late, great fashion photographer Terence Donovan, a key witness to Swinging London. Brown’s plays with these conventions, under the guidance of artistic director Olga Polizzi. Everywhere, photographs and objects add notes of wit that are very much in keeping with the local spirit. The restaurant is helmed by chef Adam Byatt, who reinvents a classic London repertoire with a touch of light-hearted flair. A spa will wash away the last traces of urban stress, and the thoughtful attention paid to guests extends to the exquisite courtesy of ensuring your pet is looked after with just the same care.
