    Staff was very friendly and front desk helped us to get another room when my wife required a different mattress. The food was very good but the service at the restaurant terrace was very slow. This may have been due to the hotel being full on the weekend that we were there or it could be that the hotel is understaffed due to COVID.

    The upgrade was very nice to receive and the room was indeed very good with great air conditioning. Housekeeping was excellent. Maintenance should review the room fittings are many are coming free from walls and the grouting is quite stained. Breakfast was also excellent although seating and service could be managed better. There was only one dining and beverage option available for the rest of the day - The Terrace - which had a very pedestrian menu and mosquitos at dusk. We were sent an excellent list of Seville restaurants by Grand Luxury Hotels and had booked dinner for two of our four nights stay. The restaurant recommended by the hotel was adequate but would have expected links established with more modern options. The €80 gift from GLH was spent on lovely cocktails at The Terrace

    The hotel is beautiful and the service is generally superb. We had a few small issues which were really just niggles - a broken item, things not replenished correctly etc. The hotel had suddenly had a rush of bookings and I think they were struggling post-COVID. After we fed this back with the help of GLH the management went out of their way to fix things and to make us feel better and were very kind and generous to us. We would happily stay there again - once the minor issues were resolved, it was the perfect stay in the perfect location.
