Located in a secluded bay in Tuscany, where luxury is timeless yet understated, it is in the atmosphere, a gesture, and any number of many small details. Hotel Il Pellicano captures the loveliest times in Italy from spring to autumn, when sunlight glints off...
Laid back luxury. The facilities are fantastic. Need to do something about the wasp ???? problem.
Really great hotel, just one thing: the hotel should change their policy regarding the beach chairs. Guests are reserving them with towels and books early in the morning and when you want to relax and arrive at the beach around noon all chairs are occupied, not all with people, but some with just books for hours. We had to fight to get chairs, but the reception staff was really helpful there. We suddenly had chairs after 10 minutes…. The staff at the. Beach club should have another customer focus….. we would not go back to the hotel, as we don’t want to be in a fight mood during our vacation and set the alarm and get up early to secure beach chairs……
wonderful. Room huge and well-kept, pleasant, everybody in the hotel extremely kind and always available, extraordinary food. We liked the whole atmosphere, the place, the service - extremely - and every minut of the time spent there

In central Tuscany, some 40-minute drive from Siena, is a 10th-century Etruscan castle that has been converted into a premier, all-suite hotel. This is the storied Castello di Casole which, for centuries, has been the home of Italian nobility.
