Park Hyatt Shanghai

Perched high above the metropolis in SWFC Tower, the Park Hyatt Shanghai sits 1,000 feet above the Huangpu River. Guests immediately take in the horizon through the lobby’s floor-to-ceiling windows, surrounded by a palette of beige and marron glacé, delicate fabrics, and mirror-polished marble. Higher still, the 13 suites and other sleeping quarters are an elegant homage to the altitude, giving pride of place to the view: Pudong on one side, and the historic concessions, in miniature, on the other. And the sun streams in from sunrise to sunset. On the 91st floor you can sample the famous wok-fried green crab with vermicelli at 100 Century Avenue Cantonese, followed by a dry martini with three olives lined up on a metal pick. The closer you get to the summit, the more delightful the experience becomes.
