Rosewood London

252 High Holborn, dating from 1914, is a listed Edwardian Baroque building, and its Belle Époque courtyard commands the street with seven different types of marble, carved mahogany and meticulously maintained topiary. At Scarfes bar, cocktails are sipped beneath original drawings by the political cartoonist Gerald Scarfe, while The Pie Room continues the pie-making tradition established by Calum Franklin which sees dedicated chefs, the ‘Pie Makers’, roll out the pastry by hand, pass on their trade secrets and sell the pies from behind a counter.
