Nice hotel, probably still the nicest in Hanoi. But needs to up its game with new players coming into town (eg Four Seasons). Heritage feel is nice, but can’t compare to e.g. Amangalla in Galle. Metropole feels slightly dated, public spaces are cramped and overcrowded, inner courtyard is messy with added buildings. Decor needs an upgrade. Same for the room: soft close toilet missing, no King beds in heritage wing, electricity sockets on bedside missing, etc.
