The St. Regis Florence

Brunelleschi is said to have designed this palace in 1432 for the Giuntini family, and the St. Regis Florence retains its proportions on Piazza Ognissanti, with the Arno flowing past the windows. Each room is named after a Florentine family of artists, poets or nobles. The Winter Garden was fitted with its glass roof in 1922, based on designs by Enzio Giovannozzi. Gentian Shehi oversees the Tuscan cuisine there, and the neighbouring Sala delle Feste mirrors the White Hall of the Palazzo Pitti. At the Winter Garden Bar, cocktails are prepared daily from their own side table.
