Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco

Castiglion del Bosco is a 900-year-old estate in the Val d’Orcia, in the land of Brunello di Montalcino. Il Borgo, its heart, was once a farming community, nestled between the ruins of a 12th-century castle and a 14th-century church. Teresa Burgisser, the estate’s former interior designer, commissioned local craftsmen to furnish the suites with 19th-century timber sourced from Tuscan mansions. Matteo Temperini prepares vegetables from the organic kitchen garden at Campo del Drago, while in the cellars, guests can compare six vintages of Brunello before a barbecue amongst the vines.
