Aman Venice
Venice, Italy
Palladio drew the Veneto more than any prince did: his villas punctuate the plain and the Brenta canal, white columns and pediments turned towards the fields, and Vicenza keeps his palazzi. Verona lines up its arena and pink façades along the Adige; Padua, beneath its arcades, keeps the Scrovegni Chapel and its blue, star-strewn vault. To the north, the hills of Valdobbiadene fold their vines into terraces, Asolo holds its rock, and the Dolomites of Belluno close everything with a wall of limestone. Venice is at the end, but the Veneto, without it, is enough.
