The most important thing for me as a florist is that I love to transform a space. My focus is colour mixed with texture, form, fruits and plants. The colour and mixing of plants is what I’ve learned from the Italians. Me and my team always seek to push ourselves and we really feel we’ve achieved it this year at the Chelsea Flower Show.
MeetLucyVail
Florist
Lucy grew up surrounded by gardens in Suffolk: it was the perfect introduction to British planting and what first captured her imagination as a floral designer. She feels passionately that her role is to take people on a journey by turning an environment completely upside down. She trained in Italy 7 years ago, learning from the very best floral designers. The most important lesson she gained from this experience was that colour is everything, each flower has its own character; it is her job to bring these personalities to the forefront of every design.
Botanical composition with Lucy Vail
The clients will learn how to make a beautiful flower composition using roses straight from British growers. The design will be completely unique to each person and the intimate workshop environment will let their creativity blossom whilst cementing the iconic brand as one of their favourites. All clients will receive a detailed instruction booklet during the workshop so that they can try their hand at recreating new designs by themselves at home. All equipment needed for the class will be provided and throughout the event clients.
