My family's history is rooted in and linked to the history of Mexico City. It was therefore obvious, even natural for me to teach everyone about its history and to share these stories from ancient times. I love doing it with passion!
Angeles is known as the Chronicler of Mexico’s City Historic Center. Born in Mexico City and having studied Law in the National Autonomous University, Angeles is one of the most respected authorities in the history of the city. An internationally known and multi-awared lecturer having published 14 books relating the history of Mexico as well as having created the TV series “Crónicas y Relatos de la Ciudad de México” which explores the hidden gems of the city, Angeles has dedicated her life to Mexico City’s history, architecture, people and even its food.
Guests have the choice between 2 options for this Immersion: 1) From 9:30am to 2pm, accompany Angeles throughout the remnants of Mexico’s history, Temple Mayor and its museum to the Colonial Cathedral, the first Academy of Arts, a tour of the first colonial house in the city. 2) The second option is a tour of Southern Mexico City, to visit the Xochimilco canals, and its chinampas, an ancient agricultural method used by the Aztecs, the Dolores Olmedo Museum that holds one of the most important collections of Diego Rivera and Frida Khalo's art.
