“Before we’re born, we’re floating in our mother’s belly, like astronauts in space or a permanent Jacuzzi, but then we’re pushed into a box, a crib, and we move from one box to another throughout our lives — playpens, bedrooms, square houses — until we die and are put in another box. We make life for children very square, killing off liberty, spontaneity, and creativity. My designs want to go against this rule of life."
Since graduating from the former School of Architecture of the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, Javier Senosiain has developed a variety of projects and has dedicated his research to a construction material called ‘ferrocement’, used in small and oversized buildings. He has also researched pre-manufactured structures which can be sprayed with polyurethane to build houses without the use of aggressive materials. Javier has also published a number of books, including “Bioarchitecture” and “Organic Architecture” related to architecture inspired by nature.
This Immersion is available in 2 options: 1) on Wednesday and Friday, between 9am and 3pm a visit of the unique Casa Organica, one of the masterpieces of Javier. Seldom open to the public, this Lartisien exclusive experience gives you the opportunity to explore this unique address in the company of its creator. This is followed by a tour of Parque Quetzalcóatl, which is normally closed to the public. 2) on Tuesday and Thursday, the same tour is available with Natalia Senosian, daughter of Javier, offering a completely new perspective on Casa Organica.
