Cheval Blanc Paris

In the heart of Paris, the Art Deco gem La Samaritaine has been a quintessentially Parisian destination since 1870. On the banks of the Seine, a stone’s throw from the Louvre and a few more from the Palais Royal, it’s home to the Parisian outpost of Cheval Blanc, designed by Peter Marino. It cuts an opulent yet discreet figure, playing with transparency and allusion. Winter gardens, views of the sky and the river, fine materials, and artworks celebrate the arts in the manner of an institution. From the ground floor to the upper storeys, cosmopolitan cuisine takes centre stage, from the Japanese restaurant Hakuba (two stars) to the aptly named Plénitude (three stars), via the Italian Langosteria.
