L'Apogée Courchevel

Courchevel was designed after the war by the town planner Laurent Chappis, and since 2013 L’Apogée has stood at the top of the Jardin Alpin, on the site of the ski jump from the 1992 Olympic Games. You can ski right up to the door, where a 40-metre conveyor belt carries skiers up to the ski room, where boots are stored overnight and returned, pre-warmed, in the morning. India Mahdavi and Joseph Dirand designed the suites like small chalets, each opening onto an entrance area where guests can sit and take off their boots. The residence is open for four months of the year, from mid-December to early April.
