This retreat on Con Son Island in Vietnam feels like a sanctuary at the edge of the world. At Six Senses Con Dao, the surrounding nature creates a wild and wonderfully restorative setting. The journey begins at a white sand beach that stretches endlessly into the distance, bordering the first traditional structures. Arranged in three rows, the villas alternate between the blue of private pools and the greige of thatched roofs, all looking out over the turquoise waters of the bay. At Vietnamese by the Market, guests linger over Pho Bo and Vietnamese pancakes filled with shrimp or sliced pork. In the evening, at the bar, the moon is reflected in the ice cubes of a freshly shaken Negroni.
