Though my parents are from the Netherlands, I was born in Morocco, and my love for this country has led me to implement several projects, such as a painting workshop to help and promote women's work in the rural environment. Then, my mother created the Centre Fiers & Forts for children, which I now manage.

As the Director of the Centre Fiers & Forts, which was founded by her mother, Dorine Eijkman has chosen to dedicate her life to making sure that children in distress, would get all the help and support they could possibly need. The Centre Fiers & Forts works for the protection of children in Morocco by welcoming in a secure and benevolent environment, children in situations of trauma or social distress. Dorine and her team, work tireless to help the children regain their self-confidence as well as make sure they are able to integrate into the formal school system.

Join Dorine Eijkman to discover her world, and understand her commitments, her path and her convictions related to the association and the Center Fiers et Forts. Starting with a visit of the city of Tamesloht where you will discover places such as arts and craft workshops in the village, the weaving cooperative, and pottery shops. At the end of the visit, you will have the opportunity to visit the Centre Fiers et Forts to participate in an activity orshare a lunch with the children.
The experience
An experience for 2 to 10 people • 3 hours • Experience possible on Mondays to Fridays from 9:30am to 5pm and Saturday from 9:30am to 1pm • From 500 for 2 people • By helping Centre Fiers & Forts, you will be giving your support to an ambitious project (protection of children, respect and recognition of their rights, access to education...) which also benefits the whole region. The Association Fiers & Forts is a French association recognized as being of public utility. All money is donated to the association.
