Starting her career as a journalist and moving up to become an editor-in-chief for a magazine around culture and art in Marrakech, Valerie is an expert when it comes to the intense artistry that makes Morocco, famous around the world. Spending her time between Paris, where she is originally from, and Casablanca, Valerie fell in love with the culture and history of Morocco, and today, she’s dedicated herself to bringing the local artisanal industry into the limelight, knowing all the right places to go to get the most exquisite crafts and artistry.
The Moroccan Arts and Crafts with a Treasure Hunter
In her company, you will discover different places of the Medina, in Gueliz, or near Majorelle, and visit unique concept stores that highlight the exquisite Moroccan arts and crafts. During this Lartisien immersion, she will share with you the different emblematic techniques and explain how the artists have adapted their skills to preserve the traditional methods and use them to create contemporary objects. From fabric work, to furniture, to pottery, all styles will be discussed with a woman brimming with passion and love for what she does...
The experience
