New York City is the hub of all immigrants who are making their American Dream a reality – despite the hardships. I love taking friends and special guests on food tours and feeding them food from all over the world in Manhattan.
Nasser Jaber first moved from Palestine to the US to study finance, but as fate would have it, NYC would be where he would fall in love with the culinary world. Today, he has worked with some of the best chefs in the world, with the likes of the late Anthony Bourdain, and José Andrès… and even has his own restaurant, in the Lower East Side. His goal is to allow his clients, whether they immigrants, like him, or locals, to discover flavors from other cultures. A marriage of Palestinian and South American flavors to celebrate culinary heritage & embracing globality.
Nasser will take you on a tour of NYC to discover the local culinary landscape, especially the wonderful cuisines brought in by the immigrants. These are the hidden gems, little known to the general public, that he believes absolutely deserve much more attention and recognition. This tour will include access to some of talented NYC chefs and restaurants. Places visited during the tour: Kossar’s Bagels & Bialys, Manousheh in Seward Park, ...visit to the old immigrant neighbourhoods that were home to the local Latinos, Jewish and Asian immigrants.
