Born in Germany in 1973, Daniel Uchtmann has always been fascinated by the arts and literature, and in studied the intricate history of art and German language in his home country, and later in Vienna, Florence, and Rome. In 2000, his passion for the arts would take him to the Austrian capital where he would take a job at the historic Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna in the field of Art Education. And today, Daniel continues to delight adults and children with lectures and talks, especially focused on Venetian and Flemish paintings of the 16th and 17th centuries.
Discover the highlights of the Imperial Collections of the Habsburgs with Daniel Uchtmann. Together, you will wander the great halls, to observe the biggest Bruegel collection of the world, and the work of the Old Masters such as Vermeer, Rubens, Caravaggio and Velazquez. You will also get the opportunity to visit The Saliera, the golden salt cellar designed by Benvenuto Cellini for King Francis I of France. At the end, Prof. Utchmann will deliver a lecture in the private lounge in the magnificent Cupola Hall, which is usually restricted to the public.
